Biographical Information: Hugh is known to have come from Glasgow, Scotland. He attended First St Anne's Church. He joined the Navy in 1938 and was subsequently trained at H.M.S. Caledonia and H.M.S. St George. He was posted to Hood in time for the operation at Mers-el-Kebir. We have no additional information.
