Biographical Information: "Dick" as he was known, was born on 09 July 1923 in Dorking, Surrey. He was the eldest child of William and Daisy Randall. He had four siblings, Ken, Joyce, Derek  and Jack. The family live in Reigate and Maurice attended Reigate Parish School.

Hood was Maurice's first ship and he lived in her Number 3 Mess. He was 17 at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
