Biographical Information: Ronnie, as he was known, was born on 08 August 1918 in Basford, Nottinghamshire. He was the only child of John and Fanny Neal. The family lived at Harwill Crescent, Aspley, Nottingham. He was educated at William Crane School Nottingham.

Ronnie is believed to have joined the RNSR following the outbreak of war in 1939. He was 22 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
