Biographical Information: John was the son of George and Beatrice Iago, of Northwood, Middlesex. He was well educated and received a B.Sc., A.C.G.I. He entered the RNVR on active duty on 29 August 1939. He was drafted to Hood the following month. He was 25 years old at the time of his loss.
