Biographical Information: James was born on 25 March 1907 in Marylebone, London to Emily Gardner. He was the husband of Ivy Gardner, of Reading, Berkshire. He was a recipient of the Croix de Guerre, R.N. He was serving as an Acting Petty Officer Telegraphist and was 34 years old at the time of his loss. We have no additional information.
